Snowflake (SK) 9.27.07 needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?

Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process.

I was adopted in 2007 and returned because my family had to move away and couldn't take me.  Here is my story from my Mom.

"A little about Snowflake, she makes new people work for her affection. If an unknown person tries to handle her by picking her up right away, she gets a little scared and may feel threatened. She loves to be rubbed on the back of the head and behind her ears. She likes her fur petted from head to tail and not the other way around. I have 3 kids and my 8 & 6 year olds have known her for almost 4 years. She loved them and took turns in sleeping with them. They would carry her around with no problems. I also have a 10 mth old baby and she loves to rub up against her feet too. She frequently can be found underneath the bed sheets sleeping.  As for adults, she takes more to women and is sometimes hesitant around men. I'm not sure why because she loved my husband as well."

What this tells us is that she is shy at first, will be affectionate and easy going once she settles in, has specific likes and dislikes, can be carried by young children so her shyness doesn't become aggressive.  She is used to being an only fur child and probably would be best to keep her that way.  Men have to go easy on her until she trusts.
