Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Baby
Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process.
Yukon’s my name and finding my forever home with my sis is my game! I am a purr baby. My purr will put a motor engine to shame. I will come to greet you, rub against you, and give you kitty kisses. All you have to do is stick out your finger and I’ll let you know how much I love you by kissing you again and again. I am not a couch potato. I am a teen kitten, so I am active and love to run, jump, and play with toys—especially toys that you dangle from a thin “wand.” I also love to climb cat trees and look out the window, too! I am bonded with my sister, Vail. We like to play and curl up with each other, especially when it’s time to take a nap. Yes, occasionally I need a nap. You can pick me up, but I’m not a baby so I really prefer to be on the ground or next to you. I guess what I’m saying is that if you want a pet you can carry around like an accessory, you may wish to get a little dog. For right now, my M.O. is to be on the move. I will be shy at first, but you will win my heart over with food and treats in no time. My foster mom feels it would be best for me to be in an adult-only household with guardians who understand that it’s best not to chase after me or grab me to pick me up. After all, that will only scare me. Give me time to come to you and you’ll have my heart—and Vail’s-- forever. I’m sending kitty kisses your way already! XXX
Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable kitties. All of our kitties are fully vetted (age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, and they are microchipped.) They live in private foster homes with their foster families. Our adoption fees are $75 - $120. In order to match the best home for our foster kitties, we ask folks to complete our adoption application in advance; simply go to www.candyscats.org/forms. You will need to register on our site, and then fill out an Adoption Application. We'll review your information and get back in touch with you. Cats are not adopted first-come, first-served, but rather the best home for the kitty, but we do give consideration to the folks who take the time to fill out the application in advance. Almost all of our volunteers work during the week; to be able to meet one of our cats by appointment during non-adoption days (Saturday, 11 - 4, Sunday 12 - 4), your application needs to be filled out in advance and approved by our adoption coordinator prior to scheduling an appointment to meet with the cats.
