Baby Girl & Pooka (SF) 2.25.16 needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start? Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process.
Meet Baby Girl, formerly knowns as CCI kitty Sienna. This stunning Siamese mix black panther girl (mama was Siamese, dad possibly Burmese) was adopted through CCI in 2016 with her brother Amalfi, now known as Pooka. Sadly, due to an unexpected life circumstance and through no fault of their own they had to be returned back to us for readoption. They have been together since they were kittens, are a bonded pair and need to be adopted together.
Pooka (Amalfi) and Baby Girl (Sienna) are sweethearts! They are affectionate and playful but also laid back and low maintenance. They do not like being picked up at all, but they will very happily snuggle up to you while you’re sitting on the couch. Baby Girl likes her head and ears rubbed and when she flops over on her back, long strokes from neck to belly make her happy. Pooka will head butt you and likes his chin and back rubbed. They both absolutely love being out on the screened in porch, sitting in their cat tree watching the birds and squirrels. Baby Girl is a hunter, so you need to make sure lizards can’t get in or they’ll be fair game. They aren’t very picky eaters, but they are the only cats I’ve ever met that don’t like wet food or tuna. They like Iams and Purina One dry food the best. For treats, Pooka likes chicken and turkey flavors and Baby Girl prefers fish flavors. They also like some cat nip once in a while. They don’t care for dogs; Pooka gets scared and hides but Baby Girl will eventually stand up for herself. They’ve not been around other cats, but if one comes in the yard, they just watch it curiously unless it comes too close, then it gets hissed at. This brother and sister pair will chase one another and brawl, but then they’ll curl up with each other and fall asleep. When one is scared, at the vet for example, the other is there as comfort. These babies are so loving and sweet, they deserve a forever home with someone who will love amen cherish them!
