Candy's Cats

Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process. 

Hi my name is Teardrop and I am a beautiful little black and white tuxedo kitten! Certain ways that you look at me I look like I’m crying. But I have a reason to cry… I walked into a yard that looked like a nice place to be but did not know they had big dogs. The lady in the house did not know I was in her yard. When she let the dogs out one of them grabbed me and tossed me up into the air about three times and used me like a play toy! She was so worried that I would be killed. She finally got me away from the dogs and I just laid there in shock. I did have several puncture wounds but luckily no punctures to any major organs, or damage to those organs. After a few hours I recuperated and was rescued by my foster mommy. She took me to her house and gave me a bath to get the blood and dog slobber off of me and to look me over. She fed me and gave me medicine and now I’m a happy kitty! I am looking for my forever indoor home. I have nothing against dogs unless they don’t like cats! I do have some new friends at my foster mommy’s house that I would love to be adopted with but that is not a requirement. I love human beings and I’m very much a snuggle bunny and lap kitty! Will you give me my forever home? 

Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable kitties. All of our kitties are fully vetted (age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, and they are microchipped.) They live in private foster homes with their foster families. Our adoption fees are $75 - $125.

In order to match the best home for our foster kitties, we ask folks to complete our adoption application in advance; simply go to www.candyscats.org/forms. You will need to register on our site, then fill out an Adoption Application. We'll review your information and get back in touch with you.

Cats are not adopted first-come, first-served, but rather the best home for the kitty, but we do give consideration to the folks who take the time to fill out the application in advance. Almost all of our volunteers work during the week; to be able to meet one of our cats by appointment during non-adoption days (Saturday, 11 - 4, Sunday 12 - 4), your application needs to be filled out in advance and approved by our adoption coordinator prior to scheduling an appointment to meet with the cats.
