Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process.
Hi! I.m Tessa. I was found with my siblings at the Apopka City Hall building. A very nice worker there was very concerned about us and wanted us to find a home. So some amazing volunteers with Candy's Cats were tricky and trapped us to get us to the vet, and boy are we glad they did. I'm now healthy, safe and cozy in my foster home and ready to go home with you! I have been socialized with other cats and dogs . I am a tad shy at first but once I get comfortable I will make biscuits and drool with happiness when you pet me and will be your best little girl. She is currently being fostered with her brother Oscar. Tessa is the more outgoing of the two and she tends to take the lead while playing. She is very affectionate and loves to be held and cuddled during her down time. Her feet are white booted and she has a solid build frame. She would be a great asset to any family. Tessa does well around other kitties of all ages and adult dogs. Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable kitties. All of our kitties are fully vetted (age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, and they are microchipped.) They live in private foster homes with their foster families. Our adoption fees are $75 - $125. In order to match the best home for our foster kitties, we ask folks to complete our adoption application in advance; simply go to www.candyscats.org/forms. You will need to register on our site, then fill out an Adoption Application. We'll review your information and get back in touch with you. Cats are not adopted first-come, first-served, but rather the best home for the kitty, but we do give consideration to the folks who take the time to fill out the application in advance. Almost all of our volunteers work during the week; to be able to meet one of our cats by appointment during non-adoption days (Saturday, 11 - 4, Sunday 12 - 4), your application needs to be filled out in advance and approved by our adoption coordinator prior to scheduling an appointment to meet with the cats. Thank you once more for your interest in our wonderful cats; we hope we can find one that is the perfect fit for you and your home.
