Candy's Cats

Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process. 

Annie was a stray kitty who must have belonged to someone at some point and was then abandoned.  She's very sweet and loves to be petted and play with cat toys as well. 

She came to Candy's Cats while she was pregnant, and was very protective of her kitties.  (What a good momma). She must have really had to fight in the street to stay alive. Annie gave birth on March 5, 2017 to four beautiful kittens, Gamora (being adopted), Groot, Drax and Star-Lord.  Now that her kitties are ready to be adopted, she is ready to find a new home also. We're hoping it'll be a home with someone who will love her, watch TV with her, etc. otherwise she will need to be put outside in a neighborhood she isn't even familiar with, since the person who brought her to us is refusing to take her back.

She will need a home where she is the only pet as she is territorial with other animals. We also suggest there be no small children in the home as well, as a small child might go after her quickly and if she gets frightened she may react by scratching.

Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable kitties. All of our kitties are fully vetted (age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, and they are microchipped.) They live in private foster homes with their foster families. Our adoption fees are $75 - $120.

In order to match the best home for our foster kitties, we ask folks to complete our adoption application in advance; simply go to www.candyscats.org/forms. You will need to register on our site, and then fill out an Adoption Application. We'll review your information and get back in touch with you.

Cats are not adopted first-come, first-served, but rather the best home for the kitty, but we do give consideration to the folks who take the time to fill out the application in advance. Almost all of our volunteers work during the week; to be able to meet one of our cats by appointment during non-adoption days (Saturday, 11 - 4, Sunday 12 - 4), your application needs to be filled out in advance and approved by our adoption coordinator prior to scheduling an appointment to meet with the cats.
