Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process.
Carmi as we call Carmella, is an absolute doll baby! She wants to be where you are and wants to be your center of attention. Eventually, she will wander off but she greets you with rubs and purrs, loves to be petted, needs to be brushed - if you hate shedding cat fur, she is not the cat for you. She has a really low meow, alto, if you will - sounds kinda funny. Carmi has the prettiest pale green eyes, her rust nose is outlined in black so it looks like a little heart planted on her face. We have had her for a year and we can't figure out why people haven't flocked to adopt her. She doesn't show well at the store because she "swats". Attempts to integrate her with other cats haven't been too successful or she'd have a new home with Candy. She would do well with pre-teens or older; hyper children would probably cause her to lash out. She does well with an 11 year old malti-poo dog - basically, she ignores her, so if your dog is laid back, unaggressive and not too hyper (this dog isn't hyper but has separation anxiety and is noisy), Carmi would love to go home with you today. She has a 6 inch, fluffy calico tail and ears, the rest of her is white. She went through the Care program (hence the ear notch) as she came from an abandoned house and was going to be returned, but she was too sweet not to give her the chance at a forever home.
