Taylor Hicks (MRM) 8.11.09 needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start? Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process.
Taylor Hicks was part of CCI since he was a kitten with his siblings. He was a sweet, social and friendly kitty. He was adopted as a kitten and declawed by the owner although they singed our contract stating they would not delcaw. He was then dumped at a vets office and we got him back into foster care. He was then adopted again with another female kitty and then dumped at animal control instead of being returned to us. His chip was scanned and we were able to bring him back to us. After 8 yrs. he is now in a loving foster home being well taken care of, however, his stresses have made him a bit shy. He needs a loving, caring patient family who will care for him for the rest of his days. We feel he would do best as an only kitty, with no other pets. Older considerate children would probably be fine. Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable kitties. All of our kitties are fully vetted (age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, and they are microchipped.) They live in private foster homes with their foster families. Our adoption fees are $75 - $120. In order to match the best home for our foster kitties, we ask folks to complete our adoption application in advance; simply go to www.candyscats.org/forms. You will need to register on our site, and then fill out an Adoption Application. We'll review your information and get back in touch with you. Cats are not adopted first-come, first-served, but rather the best home for the kitty, but we do give consideration to the folks who take the time to fill out the application in advance. Almost all of our volunteers work during the week; to be able to meet one of our cats by appointment during non-adoption days (Saturday, 11 - 4, Sunday 12 - 4), your application needs to be filled out in advance and approved by our adoption coordinator prior to scheduling an appointment to meet with the cats.
