Domestic Long Hair / Mixed (long coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Senior : : Medium
Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process.
Evangeline has become a friendly little girl. She is now sleeping on her foster mom's bed and getting along with the other cats. She tolerates the dog, but would prefer not to have one.
She has come a very long way and is participating in daily treat time with the rest of the gang. She is a bit of watcher, versus participant with the others, but she does enjoy her rubs and caresses. She is not a lap kitty or one that can be held a lot. Perhaps with more time, she will be. She is quite petite. She loves food with lots of gravy, Fancy Feast extra gravy.
She is quite content to lay at the head of the bed, sit in the window, or hang around her food bowl....(go figure).
She is between medium, and long hair (her tail is long-haired, and she has these really cool looking long haired parts on the back of her back legs, and around her neck.)
She loves affection, and sometime she won't eat until she gets the attention she wants FIRST....then, she'll eat.
Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable kitties. All of our kitties are fully vetted (age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, and they are microchipped.) They live in private foster homes with their foster families. Our adoption fees are $75 - $125. In order to match the best home for our foster kitties, we ask folks to complete our adoption application in advance; simply go to www.candyscats.org/forms. You will need to register on our site, then fill out an Adoption Application. We'll review your information and get back in touch with you. Cats are not adopted first-come, first-served, but rather the best home for the kitty, but we do give consideration to the folks who take the time to fill out the application in advance. Almost all of our volunteers work during the week; to be able to meet one of our cats by appointment during non-adoption days (Saturday, 11 - 4, Sunday 12 - 4), your application needs to be filled out in advance and approved by our adoption coordinator prior to scheduling an appointment to meet with the cats. Thank you once more for your interest in our wonderful cats; we hope we can find one that is the perfect fit for you and your home.
