Tabby / Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Baby
Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process.
Oliver was found stumbling around the parking lot of a tire shop. The left eye had an ulcer, and both eyes were so infected he could not open them. For the first two weeks, while he healed, he would do nothing but lay on his side all day--no energy, no drive to do anything. But once he started feeling better, his personality started to come out, and now he is a very active, playful little man who loves the other cats and tolerates my dog. Oliver likes to be pet, but you have to catch him first, he's always on the run and still a little timid of people. I think he would do better if he went with another kitty, because it would help him learn to be more social with people and it would provide an outlet for his very active personality. Wherever he goes, he will need lots of toys!
Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable kitties. All of our kitties are fully vetted (age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, and they are microchipped.) They live in private foster homes with their foster families. Our adoption fees are $75 - $125. In order to match the best home for our foster kitties, we ask folks to complete our adoption application in advance; simply go to www.candyscats.org/forms. You will need to register on our site, then fill out an Adoption Application. We'll review your information and get back in touch with you. Cats are not adopted first-come, first-served, but rather the best home for the kitty, but we do give consideration to the folks who take the time to fill out the application in advance. Almost all of our volunteers work during the week; to be able to meet one of our cats by appointment during non-adoption days (Saturday, 11 - 4, Sunday 12 - 4), your application needs to be filled out in advance and approved by our adoption coordinator prior to scheduling an appointment to meet with the cats. Thank you once more for your interest in our wonderful cats; we hope we can find one that is the perfect fit for you and your home.
