Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process.

Hi I'm Lucinda. I was found two days before I gave birth to 6 kittens, and once I weaned them, I was ready to leave them so that I could find my own human to love. I am and so easy to take care of! I love to be just chillin' in a bed sleeping or relaxing in front of a window. I love to be pet and I found out I really love to be brushed with a soft brush. One day my foster mom came over and started brushing me and I started to purr like crazy, it felt so good! I am so well-behaved. I do not climb on counter tops, but love to be with you and to sing you the song of my people. I love people and want you to be near you. Just pet me a lot, feed me and love me and we will be a great team. I do like to play a bit with bat around small cat toys and will play with a feather stick if you will play with me. I am a really good girl about using my scratching posts and love to use them so make sure you have them for me. I do NOT like other animals so need to be your one and only.

Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable kitties. All of our kitties are fully vetted (age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, and they are microchipped.) They live in private foster homes with their foster families. Our adoption fees are $75 - $125.

In order to match the best home for our foster kitties, we ask folks to complete our adoption application in advance; simply go to www.candyscats.org/forms. You will need to register on our site, and then fill out an Adoption Application. We'll review your information and get back in touch with you.

Cats are not adopted first-come, first-served, but rather the best home for the kitty, but we do give consideration to the folks who take the time to fill out the application in advance. Almost all of our volunteers work during the week; to be able to meet one of our cats by appointment during non-adoption days (Saturday, 11 - 4, Sunday 12 - 4), your application needs to be filled out in advance and approved by our adoption coordinator prior to scheduling an appointment to meet with the cats.
