Candy's Cats

Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process. 

MEET TANGELO!! 

Backstory: Tangelo was found at the wastewater treatment plant across from Tangelo Park. He picked out which worker at the plant was most likely to give him food and love and walked right up to him. He certainly chose right. The person he picked is married to a Candy's Cats volunteer. It took a little time get him cleaned up and healthy but he is now ready for adoption.

Personality: Tangelo might look like an adult but he is all kitten. He loves playing and everything in the house is a toy. Your feet, toilet paper rolls, the other cats' tails, everything. He's pretty good about using soft paws while playing. When he isn't playing, he's a total love. He'll sleep on your lap, by your feet at night, and purrs up storm. Overall, he's pretty perfect.

Cats: He has no problems with other cats and wants to best friends with any cat in his path. Whether or not that happens is fully dependent on the other cat. They are either willing to play and wrestle with him, or they won't like him. 

Dogs: He has met one medium-sized, very calm dog once. He was cautious but not afraid. I believe with more time, he would not have had a problem with the dog and possibly would have even played with him.

Kids: He's never met kids but given his accepting and playful nature so far, I imagine he'd fit in perfectly in a house with kids. 

Optimal Situation: Plenty of toys and space to run around, another young, energetic cat in the house, and/or kids willing to play with hi
